The Spring 2005 TUALP Advisory Board Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 26, 2005, immediately preceding the SPE ESP Workshop (April 27-29, 2005). Our meeting will begin at approximately 11:30 a.m. and conclude by 5:00 p.m. The location for the meeting is the Marriott Woodlands Waterway in Houston.

The Fall 2004 TUALP Advisory Board Meeting is quickly approaching! The meeting is September 23-24, 2004, immediately preceding the SPE ATCE. This ABM is on the campus of The University of Tulsa; for those not acquainted with our facilities, it is an excellent opportunity to see what TUALP is all about.

TUALP wishes to congratulate Dr. Richard Marquez on the completion of his dissertation. It is available to member companies for download.
Look at this month's Journal of Canadian Petroleum Technology for an article by Dr. Prado and former TUALP student, Bin Liu. It is in the May edition. It is listed in our table of Technical Papers in the E-Library. Also, TUALP recently presented a paper at the 2004 ESP Workshop in Houston. This presentation is listed in the same table.

Happy New Year from TUALP!
Congratulations to Luis Zapata upon the completion of his M.Sc. thesis. TUALP wishes Luis and his family the best in their return to Venezuela. The thesis is available for download to all member companies; just click on the E-Library link to the left.
Mark your calendars! Preliminary dates have been set for TUALP's 2004 Advisory Board Meetings. The Spring ABM will be held Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at the Adams Mark Hotel in Houston, immediately preceding the annual SPE ESP Workshop. The Fall ABM will once again be held in Tulsa September 30 - October 1, 2004, immediately following the SPE ATCE in Houston. More details will be forthcoming.

Many exciting things are currently happening at TUALP. We have a new member company, Petrobras! We would like to welcome Petrobras to our consortium.
Former TUALP student, Bin Liu, presented a paper at the Annual SPE Student Paper Contest for this region. The contest was held at the University of Missouri-Rolla. Bin presented the paper, "Modeling Natural Separation Using Bubble-Tracking Method," (his M.Sc. work at TUALP). His paper was awarded Second Place in the Ph.D. division. Congratulations to Bin on his achievement!

Mark your calendars! The TUALP 2003 Spring ABM will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2003, 1:00 - 5:30 PM. This meeting will be at the Adams Mark Hotel in Houston. Check back soon for registration information.
TUALP congratulates Datong Sun and Raghavan Beltur for successfully completing their work at TUALP. Datong has defended his dissertation and will complete the printed version very soon. Raghavan's thesis is complete and can be downloaded by member companies by clicking on the "E-Library" button on the left.
Kelley Friedberg has been promoted to Project Assistant within TUALP.

TUALP has set the date for its 2002 Fall Advisory Board Meeting. The 38th Semi-Annual Advisory Board Meeting will be October 3-4, 2002, on the campus of the University of Tulsa. This ABM will immediately follow the SPE ATCE in San Antonio, Texas. Check in August for agendas and registration forms. We hope to see you there!
Another new section has been added to the E-Library. Materials from previous ABMs are now available to member companies. At present, materials from 1998-2002 are available, with more historical information forthcoming. Check often for updates!

TUALP held the Spring Advisory Board Meeting (ABM) on April 30, 2002, in Houston. This meeting preceded the SPE ESP Workshop. Students in the TUALP research program presented their projects to member companies and invited guests.
The next ABM will be in Tulsa on the campus of the University of Tulsa. Please check back often, as more news will be posted at a later date.
